Second mount on McKenzie 8400 series

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by eddieb, Aug 20, 2009.

  1. Just finished this one today. It is mounted on a Semi-Upright Off-Set (84-7122R)
This is the mount from the post about the eye-set on the 8400 Series.

Fantastic! If I may ask Eddie, what type of camera do you have?

  3. Thanks Steve. Canon Rebel. The lens is a 70-200 f2.8 L IS. The flash is a Canon 580EX II.
  4. Eyes look great as I expected they would Eddie. What a nice looking deer. ;)

    beautiful buck! great job!
  7. Thanks CBRO, I have mounted a lot of deer for this particular customer and I thought a change of styles might be good.
I also have read some other opinions about the 6500 and 8400 series that got my curiosity going.
The next several mounts that I have lined up will be on Mears. I still like them the best.

I consider myself a hobbiedermist as I only mount 20-30 heads a year. I use the Mears forms on 95% of of those, I really like the look for our Bama deer. Ive admired your work ever since I got my first Mears catalog. It's so clean! Im hoping one day my mounts will be as good. :)
