    Thanks endeavor. The form was Mckenzie's 64U semi-sneak, head up,offset.

    Thanks for the compliments guys. Joe, the tabs on the habitats are only about 1/4" thick. I actually add a 1/4" shim, or spacer between the tab and the manikin to accommodate for the hide wrapped around the edge.

    tnx for the tip cole i got some 1/4 inch luan plywood scraps i was gona throw out trash day ill hang on to them for spacers should work out right --i think the gamehead of the week is my favorite post on the site hehelove to see the big ones u guys get to do gets me rarin to go into the woods myself cant wait til black powder opens jsut had surgery and missing out on bow season this year im goin through withdrawal hehe

    Maybe I'm just out of the loop....but....am I the only one who is wondering how you achieved the clouded eye?

    Hey guys, thanks for the compliments. I was able to zoom in the picture to show the eye a little better but... I didn't take a close up. I mounted the buck like normal and painted the eye from the outside while i was doing my finish work. I airbrushed the eye with transparent base and while it was still wet i took iridescent blue and green powder pigments and blew them off my finger onto the eye. I did it several times until the right color was achieved. I brushed on some matte medium to give it a little more depth. I airbrushed some Payne's gray over it to tone it down a bit and then glossed it.

    Now that's using your head. Great work.

    If you still have the deer you really should post a closeup. From what I can see, you definately pulled it off.

    This deer went home today,Mounted on a mckenzie 6500 series RT W/ Wall Habitat.(The posted sign was mine added it for the photo) ;)
