How do you make a wash

    How do you make and do a wash as descride by Josh.Getting ready to do my first Bluegill and White Crappie.Have only done Bass for my self and friends over the years.Know ready to try more advanced fish painting methods. Thanks Butch
     
  2. A wash is nothing more then a very diluted covering of paint applied with a brush.
    I use waterbased paints so for me its a tiny bit of paint and a good amount of water.

    The goal is to lightly tint the surface colors.

    Thanks for the info.I thought that was what it was but wasn't sure.Your work is fantastic and I will try to use these methods and see what I get.I quess that is what I did when I made my rock.I painted it with powdered paints that I thinned with water.Rock came out great but of corse I will be using water base paint instead of powdered.
