Earlier this week i received 2 deer out of western Kentucky. After Field dressing they were hung by their back legs and washed out with a water hose. The water that was left in the chest cavity run down into the head and neck. These things were swelled terribly I couldn't even see their eyes . They looked bloated or like a cows head . All the skin was bloodshot and swollen also . Do y'all think they can be saved.

    Thanks,
    Lee

after you cape the deer hang the skin up by the nose for a couple hours a most of the water trapped in the skin will drain out

Thanks for the quick replies. The face and neck were stretched way out , will it shrink back to normal when tanned ?

Things that make us worry and fret, are things that haven't happened yet.

Just tan it up and go! What ever size you end up with, is what you got.
