    Hi all,
New member here, but I've been looking around the forum for quite some time now, enjoying and learning from the loads of information available here.
Anyway, here are a few pictures of my own collection.
It is not limited to skulls or skeletons, but is mainly centered around reptiles, amphibians and fish (both teleosts and elasmobranchs) and includes skeletal material as well as wet specimens, and various pieces such as skin samples, teeth...
I have around 40 wet specimens, 40 skulls, 16 complete skeletons (most of them disarticulated) and loads of various smaller specimens.
    Here are a few pictures:

    Kitefin and knifetooth dogfish jaws.

Along with the 2 skulls is a Dolphin tooth and 3 cephalopod beaks.

Those need some more cleaning, then I'll have to glue back the fish skulls together.

    Monitors!

I still need to photograph and upload a lot of specimens, but you can view more detailed pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/biologis/
And I'm also working on a more complete website that'll include a trade/sale section.
    Enjoy! :)

  3. I wish I had a chameleon skull...

    @Vkvz: very nice collection
    why so many disarticulated skeletons?

    For 2 reasons:
So I can articulate them myself, I've been doing model kits for years and it's not so different in fact. ;D I find it more interesting than obtaining a mounted specimen, and you learn a great deal about anatomy at the same time.
And also because I'm a biology student, and very interested in comparative anatomy and that kind of things, so having them disarticulated can be more practical.
But I plan on articulating them all, I just need the time to do it :)
    Glad you like it!

@Rhasputin: if you want I can give you the contact info of the guy I got the chameleon from, but he is over here, in Europe.

  7. I've got a good deal goin' with a reptile specialty store around here... But Chameleons are hard to come by!
If they do die, they're little baby ones...

Francois, i'd like to see an angle photo, your collection looks great.

  10. Did he give you the whole animal? Or just the skull?
How much could I get one for?

  11. Francosis, is that a pelican on the top left ?

I purchased the skull directly from him, and paid around $40 including shipping.
Then it also depends of the species. My specimen is C. calyptratus, but some species are much more expensive, and some are illegal to export. I'll look for the contact info for you tomorrow or monday, I think he stills have several species available.

    Nice collection Francois! :)

  13. I've got a ton of stuff spread out over my shop and office, most is in my office.

This is over top my computer desk:

Some of the skulls are replicas, like the fossil stuff and some others, but most are real and by far most of what I have is domestic dog skulls, over 50 breeds at this point and probably close to 100 skulls, though I haven't counted in ages.

  14. what is the skull in the last picture, far right, i dont believe im familiar with it, a fossil replica maybe?

    very nice collections.
more people have pics of their collection of are the most people just cleaning for living

  17. That is a replica of the marsupial lion thylacoleo carnifex. At the time when I bought it there was only one company in Australia making casts of this fossil (actually it's more of an artist's reconstruction as the original fossil material is too fragile to withstand being molded) and that company has gone out of business. So for a replica, it's pretty rare. I don't know of any company currently making and selling these casts, which is unfortunate.

  18. ALL - very nice collections.

  19. Francois is that a sea turtle in your picture there on the top shelf towards the right side?
