A few questions, Relaxing, shaving, turning ears

    A few questions that I am having a hard time finding answers for in the forum:
    I will be tanning fox, coyote, beaver, mink, muskrat, otter.

    How long can I leave them in the relaxing bath before I begin having problems with them?

    I would like to shave the beaver hides by hand. Can I, how do I, or do I need a machine?

    The ears on the fox and coyotes are not turned and are beginning to darken and have remained soft and flexible. I would like to relax the hides so I can turn the ears to prevent the hair from slipping. That is why I am wondering how long I can leave them in the relaxing bath. I will be using water and salt to relax them. Any suggestions?

    don't just leave them in a relaxing bath; keep working them ears to soften, and turn them as soon as possible. Why wait for all to be relaxed?

    You could b ok for a couple days or a week it depends on a lot of things. Why wait get on in there and get those ears turned!
