    I've noticed with arctic wolves I've seen also, that the irises are brown rather than yellow. Perhaps an adaptation to the glare conditions of the snow?

    beautiful animal,,,but with all pennraised wolves they tend to be overweight,you never see the wild ones that fat unless
    they just gorged.

    *chuckle* .. Yeah, definately a little too well fed. Nice animal though. Looks a lot like one I photographed in PA but the darn fence was in the way.
