    H. fish guys I'm not really new here been lurking around listening and learning for some time now. my question is I'm planning to do a walleye for competition with a dorsal incision, can I stop behind the soft dosal and tube the rest of the way to the tail without the risk of scale loss and should I cut the tail off to do this. I did a trout last year completly tubed and it worked perfectly and am curious if I can do it with a walleye. btw the walleye is about 28 in. thanks in advance for any input. Jeff
