I wish I would've taken some before this stage, next time I will. To this point, I built the framework, the basic shape of 3 rocks was cut out of 1/2 osb, then 2x4 pieces were cut to height of the feet and screwed to the osb. I then ran a support 2x4 cut at 45 degrees to go under each area where the feet will be. Covered and shaped the rocks with 1/4" hardware cloth, add some snags, and then applied my rock mix that I mix up in the shop. The second pic shows the coloring applied, and I use a 2" paint brush to brush on. I don't worry about getting it everywhere as I come back with a sponge and water to get into the pourous areas. I like to use powder tempra paints mixed with water for my staining. I let this sit overnight and come back the next morning and sponge most of the color off with clean water which is the result in the third pick. The next step will be some moss and scenery to complete the rock, that's another day! Enjoy.

  17. Where is all the clutter and splotches of paint spray all over? Oh, and those big gobs of glue stuck to the floor? LOL That's got to be one of the cleanest shops I have ever seen.

Looks like a fun project, Matt!
