    Thanks Becky,

I talked to Mark on the phone yesterday about a booth and the schedule wasn't up yet. I didn't want to rent a booth and miss any seminars.

We started that a couple of years ago after feedback from the suppliers and it seems to work out better for most people.

  9. Re: Texas Taxidermy Association 2010 Convention info

    Becky....

    Becky got some questions.

Do reproduction reptiles compete with skin mount reptiles? Or is there a separate category for reproduction reptiles? I see categories for * fish * reptiles * reproductions....so do fish and reptile reproductions compete against each other?

And from the site: Who May Compete: All members of the TTAI, any state bordering Texas, may compete in this division, proof of membership must be shown at registration Arizona does not border Texas...so can I still compete?

And if I am a member of the Arizona Taxidermy Artists Assoc (ATAA), is that in lieu of being a member of TTAI? If so, I don't have proof as we don't have membership cards.

Thanks, I will get my registration in before 20 June.

    Kerby...

Re: Texas Taxidermy Association 2010 Convention info

Kerby, I believe "reproductions" covers fish, reptiles, and amphibians.
Since you are not a member from a bordering state, you'll need to join the TTAI, then you can compete. Your ATAA membership would only be in lieu of the TTAI IF it were a bordering state. (I see the wording there needs to be clarified and I will bring that up to the Board.)
