    Dc, That Decoy looks great....do you waterproof it with anything before going afield? Wolfgang, that is a beautiful wood duck piece. Love it. You guys continue to amaze me everytime I look at this thread.

    KMA I don't wash it. I take special care not to dirty the feathers and if I do I spot wash. I try and keep the natural oils on the feathers it seems to work very well. I also hand build my forms with a pioece of wood in the center so I can staple the skin to it and screw the leg wires to it...The last one I had got mauled by a dog when I let a friend borrow it...I had had it four years and it still looked great...DC

    Female black grouse under work! when dry hten will finish them both! This is a couple I shoot last autumn,they died together so they stick together! ;)

    JP, I really like the full ,soft look to the grouse hen! Great decoy thread and of course the woodie parade is sweet! 5 stars for the hooded as well as the little tweety bird! I love this thread.

    That Cat is amazing especially with all of the changes in the form you had to do. You got the eyes just right!!!

    i do it almost like the way taxos show here: http://www.taxidermy.net/forum/index.php/topic,260386.0.html
    the only different i do is i dont carve the femure bone into the body. i just fill that place whit cotton or akrylic.
