Nice, I really like the detailing on the first turkey and that hoodie.
Alright... took a bit of a break in between my second bird and the third... and read everything I could find on how to mount a pigeon before attempting this. Feel free to tear me a new one if necessary, I'm always looking to improve.
(No pics of the underside because I still need to balance out the habitat so it'll stay on the wall... )
Been a few months since I've done any mounts. Knocked out three today. Good to get back at it between hunts.
Fantastic Todd, is that an Mexican mallard ?
TODD nice mounts and really like the baldpate you know how I like them
Llooking good Todd... A quiet Sunday afternoon project before settling in for some NFL this evening.... life is good 8)
Mr. Smith. This thread is for actual birds that are in the process of being mounted. It is not for photographs of live birds or oilpaintings.
I've warned him of this already Brooke. He's stubborn I reckon.
You two are crackin' me up ....I'm glad to call y'all friends.
I had to post these pics to show people what my workbench looked like while Eugene was here! There was no room to work! Haha!
For Gosh sakes where'd your dog sit? Haha! Those benches look like two little piggies went at it.....you should invite Jeff Brown up for the next time that Eugene (Wingman!! ) comes to visit ...I would LOVE to see pictures of that Keep 'em comin'.

beautiful fowl, nice ruddies
I would say yes. It was shot in south TX on a mottled duck collection trip. The biologist here try to say that there are no Mexican mallards in TX but I disagree. I've shot piles of em in Mexico and they are just a little difference.
You can see it's just a bigger bird than the other mottleds.
Here's the finished piece ;D
My 2nd duck - female buffy. Still got a bit of grooming to do.

After a very long time being out of taxidermy ,this is a buzzard"not sure about sub-species exactly" on my work bench ordered by a customer.
