Pat, I think your chuckar looks GREAT! Snowhare, how about some pics of your mammal collection??!! Sounds pretty impresive! Nice to see all the work on this thread! I finally got my camera to work again, Here's a "shopshot" of the past week and a few days, another wholesale batch out the door LOL.

Thanks for the feedback on the chukar guys.

I was hoping you'd see him babak!

Eugene - happy belated birthday! I used your advice with the legs wired all the way up, thighs included. I had done that a few times before, but for some reason got away from it. Hybrid foam/wrapped body with good arch to the back. I actually cast this birds head. I usually never do that with upland birds, but some of my frustration with them was coming from the rebuilt skull and not having the control of the eye set and magic sculpt eyelids like I have with waterfowl. I approached that the same way as waterfowl and liked the ability to prepaint, not have to rebuild nares, and set eyes and construct the lids all at once. I did not like the time involved in the cuts and the reglueing... give and take I guess, but its fun to keep experimenting. The bondoed skull technique would give me the rigidity to set the eyes and sculpt lids like I want without making that incision along the beak line. Maybe I'll try that next time. Your whitewing is really, really nice!

Nancy, great starling seminar. I enjoyed it and learned a lot. Thanks for the judging critique. Pat, I love the eyeset on the chukar; the whole head really. Man there are too many great birds on here to even mention!

Here are some full eclipse blue wings from last September; 4 drakes and 1 duck. There weren't but about 3 pinfeathers in the whole bunch!
