Speaking of big birds... I finally got this project done... October swan from Montana... Originally heavily mineral stained, full of pin feathers, just all sorts of fun! hahaha... Had a few beers after this was done. It almost felt like I was working construction all day...

Here is Gadwall from today game farmed and a custermers green winged teal
and a Canada Spruce grouse hen that my wife brought up to my work bench she raises all of the babies
for our farm she feathed out 91 young grouse this not to bad

Hey Pat, those swanscame out great but you can keep 'em....too much bird for me. Good talking shop with you the other day and thanks for the info. Here is my upcoming project and I am very excited. I am down to my last few batches of waterfowl for the year so now I can start playing with toucans parrots and peacocks.
I will be rebuilding these tails next week.....
Does anyone have any suggestions??? Brian (Wolfgang)? Eugene?? I have ideas but not certain what I am going to do yet. ANy help would be appreciated.

I have been experimenting with some new skinning techniques. makes for a quick sew!
Not exactly a bird mount I know but this was my "workbench" for the last week. 15 feet up on scafolding and I am glad Im finished.
