It appears that the newest version of AdAware has fixed it for me.

Glad I just saw this post, looks like my home computer with xp is toast. It started this morning and by this evening its pretty much useless. It started with the xp 2010, now everything opens with "Open with" but can't get a internet connection to download anything. Laptop is still operational though.

I haven't had any popups all day since updating my AdAware. I just popped back on here, and they are back. I have been to no other sites.

Can you do a system restore to a time when you where you were able to get online? I was able to when it hit me a while back. It did the same thing, it got worse until I couldn't do anything including get online. Tried the system restore to the day before and was able to get back online to get the fix which was at malwarebytes.

I got the home computers fixed with CC Cleaner and Windows Essentials. Sems to be working OK. But the computer at work just keeps shutting down and asking me to start in safe mode. When I do it, it just comes right back to the same screen, it is totally disabled right now.

I tried that Becky, I'm online now with Norton support. It's costing me an easy $99.99 to have them remotely go over my computer now. Hope this takes care of it.
Hell of a deal huh, I paid $69 for norton 360 6 months ago and now another hundred to fix what there antivirus let get through. Of course I speaking with an Indian in who knows where?

That remote stuff is just crazy, shows how easy it is for someone from who knows where to get into your computer. Hope they get it fixed. So far my Kaspersky hasn't said a peep but a few weeks ago when there was something wrong with the ad scripts, it was going nuts blocking things.

Thought I would let everyone know... The last message I posted above was the last time I was online. The popups were getting so bad that I couldn't even navigate the site. It was all I could do to get my PC shut down. I ran AdAware again and it found 4 more items after only coming to this site since the last cleaning, and only being on here for a few minutes.

After running AdAware last night, and hopefully fixing the problem, I restarted my PC and was met with an error message that read....RUNDLL...Error loading c:\windows\system32\siyokume.dll.....The specified module could not be found

Upon logging on to my e-mail I find a message from Paypal notifying me of an unauthorized access to my account. It is accompanied by an attatchment, asking me to open and fill it out.

I'm guessing I am at risk again, just by logging on here this morning. So I guess it would be smart if I just stayed off the site for a while.

I hope what info I just posted can contribute to getting this solved. Hopefully someone will PM me when you get this stuff taken care of.

It was most likely from downloading an attachment from an unknown sender. Those can be very disatrous.

I just got off the phone with Paypal. The e-mail was bogus. Glad I didn't open the attachment.

Guess if I want to stay on the site, I'll have to run AdAware twice a day!!

  19. I said xp is no longer supported. Microsoft is not sending xp specific updates. They are overlaps from vista or 7.
