This was found over the weekend less than 5 miles from my cabin.....
Nice buck RD. Post some pics when you are done
them damn wolves are good for something...
Judging by the velvet - BOWHUNTER ;D
Just kidding you sliver slingers. :-*
Who says there are not monster whitetails out west. That things huge.
That is a great find. It doesn't look to be chewed on either. Around here red squirrels and mice seem to find everything first.
I am guessing August before the season opens in Sept.. It was found 50 yds from where the previous year left shed was found. Looked like bedding area. Lower jaw shows possible 4 - 5 year old deer. We have too many wolves but this one didn't fit the profile. If I had to guess I would say lion kill. Plenty of those too.
to sad you had to get him that way but atleast you got him i guess
well i guess you got a real nice euro mount!
Damn what a brute.
Did the guy take it to a good skull guy I hope? LMAO
damn nice! wish one like that woulda walked in front of me this bow season!
Nice find! Wish I could find one that size!
im going out for sheds today and would love to run in to something like that. nice find!
Nice, whats in store for it, strip, and whiten? Post some pics if you can.
lol bulldog thats funny rd nice buck lets see it when its done that one will make a nice one
This guy is quite a whitetail hunter. I want to leave the velvet and keep the antlers as found. They tell the story. He wants them stripped but doesn't want to spend the money on restaining. He crafts GREAT wood carved signs so a trade might be in the works. ;D
Very nice buck!
tjaxtax- why does soaking in polytranspar leave my skulls stained black? They fade when dried, but brown to black when soaking.
