    that is the closest I've ever been to a wild wood duck
    the pictures on land are about 5 feet away
    I don't think he knew what I was.

    that's all . . . :)

    interesting, he also "quacked" a couple of times when he was sitting up there
    kind of odd, but he would first extend his neck raising his head about 1" straight up from the relaxed
    lower position and then would do the "kweeek" sound while his neck was lowering down

    not all how we have seen mallards quack while standing

  19. What different eye angle, I have told bird and fish guys this goes on and been lol at.
