Charr, Brook (Trout)....(Salvelinus fontinalis)

    (These are a different strain then those above.) These are three year old Lake Nipigon strain brook trout. Mostly females culled out icefishing.

    Thanks Cecil couldn't have post them at a better time, got two to paint tommorrow! nice looking brookie. if you have any of the top of the head and close up of the dorsal they would be much appreciated!!

    A few of those ones on the ice look familiar.
    I made molds of 4 of them...must've been from that batch.

    I agree with crankin...
    A dorsal close-up would be sweet to add to the collection. ;)

    Interesting some of these large fish are retaining their parr marks.

    BTW look for some of my big yellow perch in a Bass Pro Shops aquarium near you after May. ;D
