    Troy,

I just wanted to say thank you for all the help you have provided after taking your class. The dedication you show to your profession and your willingness to help me succeed with my business are much appreciated. It's good to know that you have my back when I can't quite get that "look" I want out of my mount. As usual, your other students continue to crank out some great work! I'll be back to sharpen up my skills every chance I get.

    Thanks Again,
    Jay Myers

Hey Everyone, here are a couple of close up pictures of a black bear a student of mine just finished up. The eyes and nose have not been puttied or painted. Bill came back to learn large life-size mammals and form alterations as well as some advanced techniques. As you can see Bill did a fantastic job! Please feel free to comment!

Artistic School of Taxidermy Recent Student Pictures 5/10/2015 Once again, I had the pleasure of instructing a return student from Southern Oregon. This was Bill's forth time back. He came to learn large life-size mammals and turkeys. Even without putty and paint, his bear looks awesome! The turkey was a little rough, but that was the condition of the bird, and you can only do so much. Nonetheless, Bill you did a great job on both of your pieces, and it was great having you back!!! Thanks for choosing Artisitc School of Taxidermy!

I attended school with Troy the first part of March and it was a Great experience. Troy was a very patient instructor and extremely knowledgeable . The accommodations where outstanding and more than I expected, After learning from Troy I have more than enough confidence to continue to do projects on my own. I would highly recommend Artistry School of Taxidermy to any person wanting to learn the art of taxidermy. It was also the only school I could locate that had a personal touch of one on one training. I have plans to try an attend his school again in the future.

Artistic School of Taxidermy Recent Student Pictures 5/21/2015 Here are a couple of pieces Natalie knocked out while she was here. Nat did a beautiful job on a landing pintail and a stellar job on a pine martin. Nat had to do some major form alterations on her pine martin as she wanted it doing something other than standing. Nat you were a blast to teach. Looking forward to your return! Safe travels, and thanks again for choosing Artistic School of Taxidermy!

My name is Kelly Smith from Gillette Wy. I recently completed 12 days of taxidermy training at the Artistic School of Taxidermy with Troy Rose. Completing 3 Shoulder mounts and 1 Lifesize. Where to begin?? First, I am a totally beginner in taxidermy. When I decided to go to a school, there where several aspects that I was concerned about. Time off work was the biggest concern. After researching different schools I discovered that in order to learn the species I was wanting to do, I would be required to take 4 to 6 weeks off of work. That just wasn't going to happen! Then I found Artistic School of Taxidermy via taxidermy.net. I read all the posts of previous students, compared prices and pictures from other schools, and I did the math, not only financially but also time-wise. I called Troy and he answered all my questions and scheduled me for a time that fit my schedule. When I arrived at Troy's, I was amazed at the scenery, his home and the studio. The accommodations are awesome! Food, is great, you will not starve! But most important is the training. Troy is one of, if not the best taxidermist I have ever met! His ability to explain things with patience to a truck driver/drummer trying to do taxidermy was very reassuring for me. I know that I made the right choice in a school and mentor! I will recommend Troy Rose's Artistic School of Taxidermy 110% and I cant wait to go back in the future! 3 o'clock just isn't the same at work! Just sayin. Thanks again Troy! Success

I Just spent 5 days with Troy. I can't say enough about the education I got. He is very helpful and very detailed he will tell you what you are doing correct and what you are doing wrong. He is very detailed at what he tells you and why you are doing it this way. I looked at many schools before I found Troy. I am getting a lot of compliments on how good my mounts came out. I am looking forward to going back and having Troy teach me more of the art.

[size=14pt]Artistic School of Taxidermy Recent Student Pictures 6/13/2015 Well, I must say, I had a first here at Artistic School of Taxidermy Dave and Lexy got engaged when they closed out their training. Lexy did 5 days of gameheads and Dave spent 3 days doing a life-size red fox. I can't wait to see Dave's fox piece finished, it was a really cool piece! Lexy did a fantastic job on both of her deer. She did a pedestal mount on her mule deer. We used Habitat Rock on the back and it came out awesome! Dave and Lexy, I enjoyed teaching you both the art. Safe travels back to North Dakota, and congrats again on your engagement!
