Artistic School of Taxidermy Recent Student Pictures 9/29/2016 Bryce ventured South from Canada for 14 great days of training. Bryce put in some long hours and completed some great pieces! He did several whitetail deer heads and a few waterfowl. I know I've said this before, but I can't thank everyone enough for the great quality of students I have the pleasure of teaching. Bryce, you did a fantastic job! Hope to see you again soon my friend. Keep in touch!

[size=18pt][size=14pt]Artistic School of Taxidermy Recent Student Pictures 9/29/2016 I am very humbled and blessed to have individuals return to learn and train under me. As I have said before, there are many schools out there for them to choose from and I thank all of you who choose to return to ASOT! Lonnie was here several years ago and did a deer head and a lifesize coyote. This time around, Lonnie concentrated on gameheads, and as you can see, Lonnie did a fantastic job on his moose and deer mounts! Lonnie, it was a pleasure to have you back, thanks again for choosing Artistic School of Taxidermy for your learning needs!

I drove 19h to go too Troy's school and let me tell you, that 19h drive was well worth it! I was there for 16 days and loved every minute of it. I learnt a ton of knowledgeable stuff that I will not forget because Troy made the time in the shop fun and interesting which made it easy to learn, the days felt like they were 2h when they were actually 10-12h. Troy is very patient with you, he will do everything he can to help you succeed, he's is also very honest and tells you when something needs fixing and will make you try to figure it out before he steps in to point it out. The view from his house was beautiful, coming from the prairies it was quite the sight to see for me. The food and sleeping acomadations were AWESOME, definitely will have to hit the gym when you return home lol I had a great experience down there and will definitely be going back in the near future!!

ALSO FOR ANYONE GOING THERE FROM CANADA MAKE SURE YOU TELL THE BORDER GUARDS THAT YOU ARE GOING DOWN FOR A RECREATIONAL CLASS AND IT WILL BE A SHORT VISIT!

    Chippers,

I flew from Atl, GA to spend a week with Troy and by day 3 I was already trying to figure out how to get back. I spent a week doing whitetails with him and I can guarantee you it is worth every penny. I will be going back for Lifesize as soon as I can. You will not find a better instructor or accomodations. I went 8 months ago and Troy has never hesitated to answer any question I have had since I was there.

Most importantly you will be able to look at your work and know you made the right decision.

[size=18pt][size=14pt]Artistic School of Taxidermy Recent Student Pictures 11/18/2016 Had the pleasure of instructing Calvin on gameheads and large life-size. Calvin came over from Western Wyoming and like many of my students, he was a total newbie. I think after three days of sewing Calvin wanted to throw in the towel, but he stuck it out and well, as you can see, he did a fantastic job on all of his pieces! Again, they were lacking putty and paint, but the foundation of putting a anatomically correct piece together is evident. Great job Calvin, and thanks for choosing ASOT!

Where to start. I had the plessure of spending 2 weeks training with Troy. Who in my opinion is a absolute master of his craft! Troys abilities are second to none. I was a total beginner who had always dreamed about doing taxidermy but never had the time. I found myself out of work and decided to research taxidermy schools. I decided to go with the best school i could find and artistic school of taxidermy was it! Troy went above and beyond to get me into school as quick as he could and literally 2 weeks after my intial contact with troy he had rounded up all my specimens and i was learning at his amazing school. Let me just tell you his shop is amazing as well as the accomodations. Troy has an ability to teach and to help you understand exactly how to accomplish turning a mount into a life like peice of art. I did 3 game heads and a life sized mountain lion with custom base during my time at school and with troys training i left 100% confident in my ability to produce life like mounts. I highly recommend anyone thinking about taxidermy to give Troy a call!

Troy Rose Learning...one of life's greatest treasures!

Recent Student Pictures 2/13/2017 Had the pleasure of teaching Matt, a return student from California in
the aspects of Turkeys. Matt did a great job on a half strut bird. As I have said before, there are many schools
out there for individuals to choose from. Matt, as always it was a pleasure to teach you and to have you back,
thanks again for choosing Artistic School of Taxidermy for your learning needs!

Recent Student Pictures 3/3/2017 Just spent 10 days teaching Rippin Russ on the finer details in the art of bird taxidermy. Russ got off to a slow or should I say "Rippin" start, but in the end, he put it all together and his results speak volumes!!! Russ, you were a pleasure to teach and thanks again for choosing Artistic School of Taxidermy for your learning needs. Looking forward to having you back!

Troy Rose Learning...one of life's greatest treasures!

Recent Student Pictures 3/3/2017 Over the past week and a half I had the opportunity to instruct Russ, yes both of my students were named Russ...in the art of bird taxidermy. They both quickly acquired nick names to help with the instructional process. Holy Oly like Rip, had a bit of a rough start or should I say hole "ie" start, but in the end, Oly persevered(stitched and stitched and stitched ;D) and did a fantastic job on all of his pieces! I again thank you for doing your research and choosing ASOT for your learning needs. Thanks Russ, it was a pleasure to teach you and I'd be honored to have you back!

[size=18pt][size=14pt]Artistic School of Taxidermy Recent Student Pictures 3/23/2017 I just recently finished up a couple of great weeks with Chris from North Carolina. Chris came out to learn birds and gameheads. I'm glad his taxidermy skills exceeded his karaoke skills, although "My Squirrel" is now stuck in my head everytime the song comes on! Chris, thanks for coming out my friend and thanks for choosing Artistic School of Taxidermy for your learning needs! I enjoyed instructing you in the art and I look forward to your return on lifesize.
