I'm using my Canon Rebel. It's the first digital SLR model Canon made. I'd love to upgrade. Actually Jknuth, you were part of the inspiration for this. I was very impressed with your digital renderings of fish (gar pics), and I thought that getting fish in a natural position, but controlled setting would be the way to go. I hope they help people up their game. The funny thing is, when you start to pay attention to the details, there are no hard/fast rules about how a fish looks. With those brook trout, I caught one male that was bright orange, and one that was a deep pink, and one that was almost scarlet. And the rainbows have a highly variable spot pattern as well as coloration.

I was out on Sunday trying for a brown, and caught a couple of gunmetal gray male rainbows, but I forgot my chest waders, so I didn't carry my photo equipment. No D rings. Argh!

I blew my lower back out yesterday when I lifted my buck. Brilliant. So, it will be a few days until I get out again.

Thanks for the compliments, and I want these pics to be useful, so copy them or whatever you need.

Ice fishing is coming, so yellow perch and walleye will be coming as well. Maybe a bigger tank and northern pike...
