Need four (4) tanned coyote leg skins w/ paws/claws

A long time ago, I purchased a tanned coyote from someone under my old screenname. I always meant to ask the person if they had any extra legs for the pelt, even if from a different yote, but never did. I can no longer access that account (inactive e-mail address used for it, i think, actually don't even know WHAT e-mail address i used for it - i was without internet for a long time there). If I had kept the passwords and everything safe, I would be able to find that person and ask. Since I can't, I thought I'd try finding someone else...

So, I'm attaching a picture to show my yote's coloration. All I want are 4 legs with the paws/claws attached, in maybe a reddish brown, brown or even a medium-ish tan color. Anything that might blend in with this yote's fur. I have NO idea how to tan things, and I don't have a whole lot of money to send them off for it, so tanned is highly preferred.

    Thanks! :)

Try contacting Shelby at PLTannery :)
She often has coyote parts as well as other bits and scraps

  3. I might have a set of legs that would go with a darker coyote like that.

Let me check and i'll get back with ya....

Thanks for the suggestion, Kari! Before I could even send Shelby a message, she's here to try helping. :) I hope it's good news after you check. This poor yote has been without legs/feet for so long. I've had him for over a year. More like between 1 and 3 years. He's always been on display, but I get sad when I see him incomplete. :(

Lol Shelby's right on it :D
Well I hope you can get what ya need for it, its such a gorgeous skin!

  6. Uploading pics right now... How much leg skin is left on your fur? Its hard to tell from the pics....

  7. OK... I don't have anything really dark but...
The two sets of 4 legs on the left are Matched. BUT the top set is cut kinda short, so depending on the amount of leg left on your hide they might be too short.

The bottom set is white footed.

The ones on top on the right are Front Paws- Plenty long cut and dark.
The ones on the bottom are rear feet. Darker but not as dark.

    $10 a Pair Shipping included.

I don't know if you have the pairs I marked on the picture. You didn't mention the fluffy middle pair on top right. I realize these might be a little TOO light, and may very well look goofy, but...I'm sure they're workable. I usually drape this coyote over a recliner, couch, or wooden shelf. Two of the legs (either 1 front, 1 back, or both back legs) would be hidden at almost all times, except when I take him outside to brush off dust and such. To the untrained eye, I don't think the color difference would be extreme. It WILL be noticeable, but nobody has to know they weren't his original legs. If nobody asks, I won't say anything.

If you have the marked legs, shoot me a total and your PayPal address. :)
Now that I have money, I'm also keeping my eyes on your "For Sale" posts. You always have neat things, but I usually can never afford them. I always look at the posts just before my bills come in, lol.

I don't want to sound like a total moron, but...I DID mark a front pair and a back pair, right? LOL! That would be embarrassing if I didn't, and someone pointed it out. So I'm calling it out before someone else does, if I did do a stupid and mark two pairs of front legs. :D Also - there is not much leg skin on this hide. That's another reason those long legs caught my attention. I think there's about 2 inches of leg skin. Maybe less.

Kari - thank you! I thought he was gorgeous the moment I seen him. I posted a "want" ad, and a lot of people responded. When I seen the picture of this hide, though, it was all over. Price went out the window, quality was ignored, all doubts gone, I just wanted this fur. I got him for about $45, and boy was I surprised when I got him in the mail. Full coat, quite soft, great tan, no slipping. I'm very proud to have this fur.

    :D
I had gotten that way too
Saw this amazing Coydog for bid on ebay and thought "That has to be mine"
Did not care how high the price went and did not care what it'd take to get it, even if it was raw (which it was)
I was just excited to get it. And when I got it it was perfect, great skinning job and not a mark on her!
And happened again with a white/lite grey yote, saw it and just had to have it though got a good price lol

Ooh, I would love to add a coydog to my collection. Lucky! :)

With this coyote, the person just replied to my post with a picture and short description. They didn't mention a price, but I knew I had to have it. They didn't mention if it was a poor tan, excellent tan, nothing. And I didn't care. I needed this coyote. So I PM'd the person for the price, sent them a money order at the time I think, and around a week and a half later - I had this beautifully tanned creature.

This one's face is oddly cute, too. I'll attach a pic...which proves me wrong about the leg fur on the back legs. I thought it was shorter than that.

The date on this pic says September 23, 2007. So, at least I wasn't wrong about when I got it, lol. :D
