Well, the third time really is a charm. I've been to Chihuahua twice before and only came home with a last minute jake on the 2nd trip. This time I went to Sonora near the Chihuahua border and the birds were fired up.
Early on the first morning we called one up from the bottom of a deep ravine and took him at 18 paces.
On the 2nd day we tried a different area and called in several gobblers from high up on the mountain down to the bottom where we set up. We had birds working us from three different directions converging on us. I took the 2nd one at 20 paces.

Went on our yearly trip to the ranch out in Nebraksa for a lil turkey huntin. Went with callmaker Andy Kaiser. This is our second year hunting on a 43,000 ranch that only 3 people hunt each year. Loaded with birds and in about 8 hours of hunting over 2.5 days we harvested 6 birds. Here are my 3 plus a video we shot. The second sure kinda looks like a Rio so it must be a intermediate. The last bird with insert is at the taxidermist right now.

  16. Hunted 3 states - 5 longbeards. Here's my last one in Wisconsin. Had white spurs which is kind of unusual.

But two day before the season closed witch was this past Saturday. me and my hunt partner scored two nice toms. both birds wade over 17 lbs with 1"+ on the spurs but really thick beards one was a little over 10" one was just under 10"
