I have ended up with a bearded hen turkey to mount roosting, that had gotten killed by a car...honest. The body shows no damage, but the tail is totally trashed. What difference is there in a hen and a tom turkey tail, and would there be anyone out there that can get me a hen tail if need be? It's an Eastern.
    Thanks to all. D.

I have a few hen tails if need one. Not the size and fullness of a tom.

I just got my hands on a jake tail......could I get away with just shortening those longer tail feathers to pass it off as a hen tail?
