I'm back from 8th European Taxidermy Competition (26.04.-02.05.) Longarone, Italy. It was my first time in competition. I participate in Novice - Fish (Skin Mounts).
My eel wasn't very good ;D
But Monkfish take red ribbon (in photo there is still yellow, but it was a little mistake) ;D

P.S. The Monkfish (9 kg) are looking for new owner ;)
P.P.S. Here is a little video about my trip to ETC in cooperation with environmental programm "Vides Fakti" on Latvian Television: http://www.fishmounting.lv/?page=projekti (starting from 7th minute) Here is a short interview with Larry Blomquist, too.

What absolutely incredible work this week!!! I love the Crappies and the Salt fish too! I don't get on here much at all during the week but I really enjoy being inspired by the talent folks on here!

    Have a great week!

I just finished for a customer. I had it mounted for the Michigan show but didn't have time to finish it then.

Those two pumpkinseed sunfish are by far the best that I have ever seen. The detail in the paint schedule you used is very fine. them is outrageous to say the least. They certainly remind me of the ones I used to catch when I was a kid in Indiana. Keep up the good work...you'll go far.
  17. Wow those pumkinseeds are off the chart!
