    Hi!

I’ve read that some of you have tanned mouflons. I could get some green mouflon capes next winter and I wonder what type of hair they have – that is do they break / shed easily like elk hair during use?

I’m not mounting them but would need them mainly for demo purposes or maybe a quiver or similar here and there.

    Thanks!

  2. What people call mouflons mostly are a mixed breed anymore (Corsican) and you can get a little difference in hair from one to another, some will have a heavy wool undercoat, some little to none, but they are a hair sheep and the hair won't hold up to a lot of abuse. They are tougher than a prong horn, but not sure if they are quite as tough as elk overall.
