Tanning Cream

    TrailsEnd Don't forget the elderly, the young and disabled

    I have been getting all of my deer capes commercially tanned for the last 30 years.I like the tanning but the time is too long getting them back from the tannery.I am considering using John Rinehart's tanning cream. I would like to know how the other taxidermists like this method.Thanks for any information, Chuck

    George The older I get, the better I was.

    For a shop tan, I wouldn't think of using anything esle. I use it as it advertises, without the silly pickle and have never had a single problem. If you like using a pickle, it works just about the same a Liqui-Tan though I think there's a bit more oils and lanolin in JRTS.
