Jerry, you really out did yourself on that one. Truely a beautiful piece of poetry right there. This makes me really look forward to a few pieces I have to do!

There is a company who makes artificial Lion manes. Nearly all the lions in the Cabelas stores have these manes on them.

Hey Jerry, long ago I contacted a company in MA that does hair reproduction for hollywood. I sent them real mane samples from lions and they matched it perfectly with five colors of hair! The hair comes on an expandable backing material...I can get you the info if you would like..they made up two different shades one darker to use oh the m lower sections..

Yeah, National Fiber Technologies ... no big secret ... they always have ads in Cinefex Magazine. I love what they do with Yak hair! They make some of the best Lion manes in the world! They supplied the manes for the Lion in "Jumanji", and "The Ghost and The Darkness", just to name a couple. They ain't cheap! CF 1007 Taxidermy Lion's Mane $55.00 per square foot. But they are worth the dollars!!

That's a fantastic mount! Getting any animal to look like it's frozen in time during a moment of action is hard, but the big cats seem to be the greatest challenge of all. You did a fantastic job on both of these beasts, but I especially love that lion!

That looks awesome! Is the lions supposed to be jumping out of a tree? He's really got some air.
