Somewhere around 400. We got a boar this year that went 500 live wt. and 425 dressed. ON A SCALE, no guessing! That bear measured 68" nose to tail and 66" around the belly, before dressing.

Worse yet, guides measure the skins AFTER skinning...............and a lot of stretching!

Tazzymoto and Old Fart are right on.App 400 lbs, possibly more.A 5 3/4" bear is a big bear.A 250 lb bear is in that 60"-62" range.300 lbs app 65".Once you hit 70" you are in that 400 lb range.that's a really nice bear.

Hubby has a way to measure it that gives a very accurate weight. When he gets home I will have him let you know.....

Here is a bear weight chart.Keep in mind, when they say "overall length" they are including the tail,so deduct 3-4" for the tail if you measure to the base of tail.If I remember right,I think the chest measurement is taken 2-3" behind the front leg,not right up in the armpit. This is supposed to be a fairly accurate chart.
