    hi all,
i know one can use the standard ph papers to check out our soak solutions,
is there a item we can purchase that better monitors the numbers and accuracy
in the taxidermy field that one can purchase and if so where would it be located?
    thankyou in advance.

Buying a meter for Taxidermy tanning, is really a waste of money in my opinion. All you really need, is pH papers that measure within .5 in any given solution.

If you do much tanning at all, you will find that pH meters usually dont last very long, and are a real pain in the rear! They constantly have to be re-calibrated, and to make a long story short, I just dont trust the darn things.

Just keep your pH papers dry, and replace them every couple of months, and you will be fine.
