how many of you get your clay there, someone on here told me about it several years ago 25 pounds for 14.99 and with a 40 percent off on line coupon it was around $9, went there today to pick up some and the price was $34.99  has anyone else notice this i thought it must have been miss priced but the lady there couldn't explain why it had gone up . heck i can order it from a supplier and pay shipping for less than that,

    Maybe ........

Maybe it is mismarked now? Our Hobby Lobby is constantly running 50% ads all the time......that would be a good time to make the purchase.

    :)

    Kerby...

  3. I got some from them yesterday at $14.99 and then used the 40% off coupon. It must have been mispriced. I did however get a block from them one time that was worthless but they exchanged it.

I was just there too. Our Hobby Lobby appeared to have 2 kind of clays. One for $35, and one for $14. Both were 25lbs. Go back and check it out, chances are they still carry the $15 clay.

I also picked up a 25 lb block yesterday. It was marked 14.99 with a 30% off coupon.

  6. The white clay used to be $35 and the natural brown clay $14 (At least when I used to work there) The basic policy is nearly every item goes on a 2 week rotation of a 50% sale. In addition to that you have 7 days to return to the store and ask for a refund if the item is on sale at the time of your return.
You will need to talk to a manager but basically 95% of all items at hobby lobby are always 50% off.
The trick is our markup was roughly 50% so by 50% off I mean fairly priced.
This doesn't apply to custom framing or cut fabric.
Good GOD I hated that place.

I buy it from the manufacturer in Moselle, Mississippi...$15 for 50 lbs. He does not ship less than a trailer truck load at a time, but will sell by the box if you pickup. Come on down and buy 500# at a time!

The $35 dollar "air dry clay" is good stuff, I quit using critter clay on my eyes and such and switched to this. Still use the $14 stuff on earbuts and what not.

  10. Yep the 14.00 stuff works fine, and if the clerk dont know they will price it all the same.

  11. I buy mine from there as well. It's a 100 miles to the closest one, so obviously I stock up when I happen to be in that town.

If you go to their online website, many times they'll have coupons on there not available elsewhere. Get on their email list and they'll notify you. A lot of their coupons are 40% off ONE product, but they had one running online for all Wilton cake decorating products that had no limit. Woo Hoo! =)

Does anyone use the $14 potter's clay from hobby lobby for their eyes, nose, etc or would a person be better off going with the more expensive stuff.

I use that clay for everything. It has very little shrinkage. To test it yourself, get the caps off some milk jugs and place multiple clays in each lid and let them dry out. Then tell me you can tell which one shrunk worse than the other.... LOL ::)

From hobby lobby which clay do you use? The store closest to me only lists one clay of 25lbs., and it is $34.

I'll have to look but I believe I buy the marblex clay. I buy the 25 pound block and it is just a gray looking self hardening potters clay. I just asked my secretary/accountant and she was no help because she doesn't remember either.... LOL ;)

I would try and find a clay place close to you other than a mid man store. You would be amazed how cheap you can get the stuff. I go to columbus Clay and pick up 2-300 lbs at a time. The more you buy, the cheaper it is.
