you're gonna cull a 2 1/2 year old??? Not if you ever want to have good deer to hunt.

Okay, I got another question. I think the left antler is a defect and not a broken antler.....problem is, I had a deer last year all through velvet who had the exact same similarities but it was on the right side.

Here's the DUMB question of the week.........could a deer grow a defective antler on the right side one season and on the left side the next???

If you look at that pic, if broken he would of had to split it up the tine which I do not see happening......and he's been that way all season (did not see him in velvet though)

Heres pics of the one from last season I am refering to along withthe first pic.

Like I said, this is probably a dumb question, but could this be the same deer just different sides???

If it's truly a deformity, I'd say not. But I've seen some crazy stuff over the years and would have to say that anything is possible.

I just think that the left beam on the deer in the most recent pics is his actual growth beam and not breakage. Guess we'll find out in December, i'm either gonna let Tom Cruikshanks wife or my baby cousin cull him out....who ever gets here first :) LOL

We also have a 3 1/2 year old spike that gotta go & Miranda is yet to get hers. We saw 3 nice shooters this evening but she's holding out for a freaky one that's been showing up :)
