i usually tan everything in house. this year ive taken in a few deer already caped out so ? is can i mix my pickle and put the capes in, let thawl get them out the next day split and turn everything then continue or should i go ahead and thawl, split and turn and salt them first? i just hate thawing the capes and having them set out not really knowing what shape there in if that makes any sence
    thanks for your time,

Thaw, split, salt & dont worry so much. Lots of us get most of ours caped & dont have any problems.

Listen to Bill....Thaw, split, salt, pickle, shave,neutralize...brush or rub down with Mckenzie tan and then put in the freezer for at least 24 hours.
