Just finished- Copper Base

Discussion in 'The Taxidermy Industry' started by Marsh Master, Dec 1, 2010.

  1. Just finished this copper base for our local studio. Thought I would share. They put it on the wrought iron scroll, which I thought looked great. I ran the radii through the planishing hammer, then finished the distressed look with a ball peen. Fully soldered, 16oz copper.

    Opinions welcome.

    Thanks

Looks great Ross, you did the iron too?

  15. No, Paul, I didn't. I can, and will eventually, but they needed something fast, as it was 2 days away from customer pick up time. Luckily, they found something they could use instead. Scrolling is not very hard to do, but as anything made in America, it will cost you. It takes time, and some precision.

Thank you for your comments as well.

  18. Thanks, Billy and Brad.

Brad, you know whose turkey that is, don't you? I didn't ask their permission to post their names so I won't, but they do great work, and most of it was their idea.
