great eye placement on the black coyote!

  11. I like the more passive looks. The ladies of the house are more accepting of the resting pose....lol

Originally cut for a rug mount. Customer asked for lifesize later. Little more sewing than I had hoped for.

I like the passive, relaxed look too. The angry attack dog Nickie posted was the only one We've ever done like that. We tried to talk the customer into something prettier but he only wanted the viscious look. I'm an art whore, If they have the money I'll mount it standing on it's head! LOL

I've done a lot of basic coyote mounts but I always like the pose on this one I did for a local Dick's Sporting Goods store. Hard to tell from the pic, but he is sniffing at a wild boar skull. I wish I had done a better job on the mount quality-wise (it was one of my earlier coyote mounts) but I have to admit it does look better than many of the other mounts at that store! :D

Here is a couple I did, first and second l.s. coyote for customes. Second was a Texas yote shot in July. It posed some unique challenges. The customer brought some red Texas dirt back with him for the base, which I think looks good with the coyote, kind of matches the natural color theme. I don't really fancy the howling mounts.

  20. unfortunately I've not yet got the chance to mount up a lifesize, but I have one on the docket for this upcoming week (or next week if I don't get to it). However here's a cool looking wall pedestal coyote I just mounted up. I'm looking forward to my first lifesize!
