How Much do you Charge for Antler Repair?

How much are all you charging for repairing damaged antlers? I'm contemplating raising my prices.

I charge $40 for repairing the first point and $25 for each additional point repair on a rack, but that pricing is based on doing a head mount along with it. I have a minimum charge of $50 otherwise.

I've also have someone that wants me to bid a total antler reconstruction. It's a half rack broke off right at the base. I've done more complete rack, sculpted recreations and I think it was harder to to match up an existing half rack than to do an entire one from scratch. I'm thinking about bidding $500 for the half rack job. It's a big, massive rack with 5 points on the remaining side. Please let me know how much you'd charge for a job like that?

I charge $25 a point and $50 if I have to fix the main beam. I charge a premium price for the mount and I don't try to hammer the customer with simple repairs like those.

We charge 20.00 per in. With a 40.00 min. If its a big repair and goes well we will knock a little off.

What if you wern't mounting the deer and just doing stand alone repairs?

Unless I can find a good match from a shed, I'd estimate that my time spent on a complete skulpted main beam reconstruction would be at least 8 hours. At $50 per hour that would come to $400 plus materials.

If I'm not mounting the animal, I'm not doing them. It's not cost effective for me to repair antlers that I'm not mounting. I'd contract them out to someone else and then add $150 to what they charged me to do it.

    I charge $10 per in.

  10. $25 per antler, i have a bucket full of tines i've sawed off old antler sets and sheds, it takes me less than half an hour, a small peice of wire, dab of super glue, a pinch of apoxie, and a dab of potassium perm and i'm done.

Personally I like my deer just like i shot them, so I don't fix them on personal work.

I charge $35 a point and feel that is pretty fair price. I repaired an entire shed that was nearly completely eaten up by mice and charged $100. This seemed a little cheap after all done but I wanted to tackle the challenge.

  12. I charge $10.00 inch , with a minimum of 3 inches for the first point, and 2 for all additional points, per rack. that's my wholesale price.
So what are you charging for cutoffs, whitetail antlers only, no skull cap or burrs, only a picture with one measurement, inside spread is this...
I get $350.00 set, that's on a skull cap, add $125.00 to make them detachable.
