Nice buck, and conrats to the young fella. What is non typical about that deer buckmaster?
Real nice S. Texas buck. I think it's cool you did the right of passage and got a little blood on the cheek. We gotta keep these young ones hunting!!!
Is the date on that pic right?
He has 4 points branching off his right brow. Well, thats non-typical in my book, but to each his own
No sir, buck was taken in november, just before thanksgiving of 2008 i believe
thats ranch huntin for ya. he'll never wanna hunt regular land again lol
I killed my biggest buck on the Burr Ranch 23 years ago.
I assume it's the same one. Maverick County, near Del Rio?
He's still typical framed, those are just non typical points but yeah he's a cooker.
Yep same ranch. Quite an operation they have down there. Since u been there 23 years ago, they have fenced in 5000 acres for the owners own personal hunting and put in a huge octagon shaped blind, with a mini fridge and flat screen tv. OH and air conditioning.
Wow. Changed quite a bit indeed! When I hunted it, it was all open and low-fenced. This was when intensive management was just starting to gain traction. Even then, there were some brutes on it. A couple 'book' deer were taken in those few years I was there, even without the intensive management.
That's just not fair. That is a huge buck. Congrats to him.
great pic, i also done the war paint thing with both my older boys when they got there first buck, they said they were going to do it someday with their kids also as a tradition. great memories there
