This is a custom-wrapped leopard....carved head, 2x4 core body, 6-gauge wire, excelsior, epoxies, and polyfil. I know this is old-school, but by the time I would have altered a form into what my customer wanted, and foamed and carved into the shape...this saved me money (no form)...not much on the time difference...but gave me the freedom to pose it exactly how he wanted. This cat was hunted in Africa with dogs...it's an xlarge male. The picture wasn't taken to be posted...it was just a quick studio snapshot before I delivered it.

WA, a question...the birch stump you use for bases are real, artificial or maybe only the bark filled of foam?

  15. WA that cat is beautiful, and the fox superb thanks for showing what the old methods can bring about when done by the right hands.
Snowhare, good day to you, and am I right in saying you have a DVD of your wrapping method? I am asking on account of one or two chaps I vaguely recall who mentioned this some time ago. Wishing you well, stargazer.
