I have been sending out my deer, bobcats, coyotes, badger and fox for tanning. When I get them back they rarely have many whiskers left. I contacted the tannery and they said it was necessary to thin this area andloosing some whiskers was normal. If I change tannery's, can I expect this from them also. What can I do to remedy this problem.

  2. take them out before sending to the tannery.

  3. Fire the tannery. As I said in your other post. Clean the whisker beds yourself and tell the tannery not to cut the freakin things off! It IS NOT NORMAL!

Thanks for the advise. Tanning myself would probably be the best idea, but I don't have a warm place to do it. Gets a little cold out in my garage through the winter.
