went to test the pH of my pickle today and my pH meter has gone missing. i tore apart the whole place looking for it. also my back up pH strips are no where to be found. i usually have to add a little more acid to the pickle the second day so i did that, but I'm going a little on the high side just to be safe because i cant test the pH. is this the right move?i figure a lower pH wouldn't hurt as much as bacteria reeking havoc.
