Pig hide

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by bpbigperm, May 25, 2011.

  1. I am skinning out a pig I just shot and wanted to try mounting it myself. I have never sent anything off to the tannery and had a question. How much of the armor plating on the side of the pig do you take off before you send off the hide? I have fleshed a couple foxes and a deer that are going too, but just not sure what to do with porky. thanks for your help or ideas.

Not really, put it in the freezer after you get the measurements, thenn order your form. When it arrives, you'll see how far back the hide goes on past the ears, then you can flesh off as much as you need. Most capes are skinned off too long for the form at hand.

If you do not take it off, the tannery will charge you for doing it for you.
