Just mounted two domestic turkeys (greasy pieces of....) used "balmex" on wing tips and feet because I ran out of my usual stuff! I am used to using something that burns your eyes, dries your skin and is just all around "nasty". This stuff "(balmex) is like water! Does it really work or should I reinject these birds before they rot on me!

I tried it once, decades ago. As I recall, it does an okay job of preventing rot but it's useless for controlling shrinkage.

Make friends with your local morturary. Get them to let you have a quart of the pink cavity fluid. You can cut it with water and it works better than Balmex. I have been using it for years and am satisfied that it does the job.
