I am about to mount a second set of ringneck pheasants. They are small in body size 6 x 9". I have found a golden pheasant body in that size. I am not familiar with golden pheasants. Is their body structure similar to that of a ringneck where I could use the form and be successfull?

    Thanks for any advice.

  2. I have used them with no problems. I think Van Dykes sells a small pheasant body

George The older I get, the better I was.

Any of the "chicken" species forms that fit will work. ( A grouse body, chukar, etc.) With a little constructive rasping will make any form work correctly, obviously, but that anatomy of the upland bird will be close.

are you dealing with the skin only or do you have the carcass? what George said a rasp will transform any body in seconds!!
