Finishing Kudu Horns

    Working on my first Kudu. The horns are very dry and the bases are white- I would guess from boiling when in Africa. How would you deal with these issues?

    i just did a impala with white bases like your kudu , i painted them with artist oil paints a mixture of raw umber & paynes grey, thin with a little mineral spirits then highlite by wiping excess off and seal with a matte clear, they will blend perfectly with the rest of the horn
