    Where did you get that reference cast? Do you use a similar technique for your competition mounts? If so, what do you differently?

  11. Very close to the technique I use. A bit different, but close. I do it on ALL my mounts. Commercial or not. Nothing throws me over the edge faster than seeing a nose plugged with filler. Good job on the tutorial!!!!
  12. Wow, looks pretty cool. Takes me way longer to get acceptable nostrils and septum from the front, I may have to try that.

  14. Hingi, I got the reference cast from Ohio taxidermy Supply. I have always used this technique for competition and it does well, from now on I will be casting my nose for the higher levels of competition.

    Thanks for the info...fyi, I was the new guy at the show this last month. Just trying to get better than a sweet green in the open division.
