wood wool??

    i was wondering where i can get wood wool at for wrapping bodies. i can't find it in any supply catalogs. I live in PA didn't know if i could find in local or not??

    Michael's hobby stores sell it as well. I'm thinking you just needed some help with the wording "excelsior" instead of wood wool.
     
  6. cshank, find an local supply company that sells hemp. It's lighter than excelsior (smaller fibers) and makes great wrapped forms. I get mine from TFB Plastics, www.tfbplastics.com. They have 40lb bails of the stuff. You can look in your area for suppliers to the mold making and casting for metal work, foundries, etc. They use it as a reinforcement for plaster mold forms.
