My daughter and her family have just bought another house and it has cathedral ceilings in the family room. I told her I would have to hang an elk in there and that started the wheels turning. She has always been crazy about peacocks and now wants me to find her one and mount it to display on one of the tall walls. 1st, I know ZERO about peacocks other than the fact that they are noisy and terribly annoying to neighbors. What variety would make the prettiest mount and where would I have to look to find one? What would I expect to pay? Could it safely be broken down for frozen shipping while protecting the tail? Lots of folks have them but don't want to put them down for a taxidermist. Any guidance would be most welcome.
