Looking for a wild Brown Rat skin with nose, feet, ears and tail; mountable and preferably in one piece. Slips are not acceptable. It would be fine if the rat was not tanned but I would like one already cleaned and with minimal salting as I find too much salt destroys the non-furred parts.

are u still interested in the wild brown rat?
get back to me at [email protected] for more details

  3. I have one frozen whole for $20. Paypal or credit card ok
  4. Why get a wild one? You can get a domestic one, same animal, same look, for $5 or less at a reptile store frozen.
You can also use DP instead of tanning on something like a rat.

Need a wild one since I value the ones in pet stores as pets, and I find taxidermy pets kinda creapy.

I'll try both of those above for the rat.

Most pet stores sell feeder rats that are flash frozen. You get them already dead.

  11. Yeah that's no rat. :p

Agouti, is the wild colouration of norway/brown rats. You can find these in pet store freezers meant for feeders.
  12. It is a Kanagroo Rat. We have a lot of them here.

  14. Diet

Kangaroo Rats feed mostly on grass seeds, but will also
eat leaves, stems and sometimes fruit if available. They
have pouches on the sides of their mouths that can be
    used for carrying food.

The habitat of the Kangaroo Rat differs depending on the
area of North America that it lives. They tend to live in
arid, open areas and only go out at night when the
    temperatures are cooler.

Approximate weight of a Kangaroo Rat:
    1.25 oz - 6.25 oz.
Approximate height of a Kangaroo Rat:.
Length can be from 4 - 16 inches depending on age and
species but usually are from 10 - 13 inches.
