I haven't seen this topic before, so post your 'air' mounts here. Extra credit if they are wrapped (excelsior) bodies.
I'll start it off with some of mine.
This is a wolverine twisting on one hind foot trying to bite a wolf (8th largest in the world at the time) on a hind foot. The nose touches the toe. Wrapped wolverine, altered wolf manniken. Done around 1998.

This fox and pheasant was done around 1997. Wrapped bodies with the pheasants middle tail feather made out of sheet steel, textured and painted to match the other feathers. The fox's hind feet are about 20 inches off the ground.

The rattlesnake holds up the grey fox by 'biting' it on it's foot. Excelsior fox and snake, done around 1983.

Two wrapped coyotes done around 1978. I didn't know how to paint the mouths in those days. The front coyote's feet are over 2 feet off the ground. It's supported by a 1/2 inch steel rod touching the side of a hind foot.

This was done around 1988. Both bodies made with excelsior IN ONE connected piece, which was a nightmare to wrap.

Thanks for the compliments. But let's get some other guys' stuff on here.
This goose / fox piece was done around 1998. Both excelsior bodies. The 'feather' the fox is biting is made out of steel, textured and painted to match the real ones. The steel feather was welded to a steel rod the went into the goose to give the wing strength.

O.K. man, now we're talking. Those are great mounts and about 5 to 10 times harder to do than the typical mount.
    Let's see some more, guys.

    That wolf's face is great!
Here's two mouflon sheep I did around 2003. I only made $2400 on this, so I couldn't get too wild.
