Doug......that walleye in the dark, what I like to refer to as Canadian coloration, is just crazy good. Every body contour is so natural, as is that paint job.
Dan, you really have a knack for adding those subtle pinks and flesh tones. I have said it before, but it bears repeating. It makes such a difference even on outstanding paint jobs like you posted.

Here is a really nice Pink I did for a friend of mine. He is going to paint it, which kinda makes me sad, as I really enjoy these fish. This whole fish fell together. The fins came out nice, the head came out good, the eye, and most of all the body fit perfectly . Not an alteration one!!

Of course if it was mine, or a competition fish, all of them would have failed.

So here it is, repair/rebuilds toned, and sealed. Ready for Jesse to paint!

Just finished this Chain Pickerel. I tore the skin up so bad, had to carve my own mannikin (which was also a disaster). I'm just happy its done. I'm actually pretty happy with the paint job. Tough fish, lots of work, but I'd like to do another one some time. Its just sitting on a shelf right now, need to hang it up.
